Dressed to the Nine(tie)s Though it’s been over a decade since the last episode of Friends streamed on TV, we find ourselves reliving her iconic looks in the hopes of one day attaining equal success in the fashion realm. After all, she was one of us: a girl who lusted after designer things on a tight budget and kept up with the trends of the time (in this case, plaid mini-skirts and cute, shaggy locks). Out of the whole crew (and we should say that Monica Geller’s style was fab too), it’s safe to say that Rachel Green, played by beauty and style icon Jennifer Aniston, made the biggest impact on the fashion and college community. Regardless of how you feel about the show, it can’t be denied that Friends was a trailblazer in the sitcom genre, inspiring future shows such as How I Met Your Mother and New Girl with its close-knit ensemble cast. As we all know, Friends was a hugely popular TV sitcom series that lasted a whopping ten seasons (running from the mid ‘90s to the early 2000’s) and narrated the lives of six young adults trying to make it in the Big Apple. Two other singles (« Goodbye » and « I Got It 2 ») failed to become hits at radio. Its success was in large part, due to the up-tempo « Where The Party At, » which reached #1 on the R&B charts and #3 on the Hot 100, the group's highest charting single. The group's third release, Jagged Little Thrill, was released in 2001 and went platinum. The albums lead single, « Keys to the Range », however was the sole flop from the album. It also featured the track « Promise » which, albeit a late single coming out in 2000, reached #1 on the R&B charts and #9 on the Hot 100. The albums second single, « He Cant Love You » (released January 18, 2000) had similar success, reaching #3 on the R&B charts and #15 on the Hot 100. Sometimes, in order to get a clean stabilized shot, Warp Stabilizer may crop your clip too much and cut out essential parts of your shot. Be sure to pull back on the smoothness parameter and adjust the crop settings within Warp Stabilizer. When Warp Stabilizer is finished stabilizing, your clip may look smooth, but there may be noticeable warping in the background areas of your shot. Issues to Look for When Using Warp Stabilizer Adjust the Crop Less Smooth More parameter to bring back any unwanted crop or to smooth out your footage even more.įor more details and a full overview on how to stabilize your footage, check out our tutorial.Something as low as 5-10% may be sufficient. Keep in mind that you may not need a high percentage value. Adjust the Smoothness parameter to the best setting for your footage. You can continue to work on your edit during this process. Allow Warp Stabilizer to analyze your footage.Apply the Warp Stabilizer effect from the effects window under the distort tab.How to Stabilize Your Footage with Warp Stabilizer Now, you can just stay inside of Premiere Pro without disrupting your workflow. Whether you shot your footage handheld, on a shoulder rig, or with some accidental movement using a Steadicam or gimbal, Warp Stabilizer is more than capable of stabilizing your video. Several years ago, if you wanted to reduce camera shake, you would have to jump over to Adobe After Effects to stabilize your footage. Here’s how you can best use the Warp Stabilizer effect. Furthermore, this gives video creators even more creative freedom to make their work stands out from the crowd. You can now stabilize your shaky footage without having to leave Adobe Premiere Pro. In the latest update, the power of After Effects onto the Premiere Pro timeline with customizable graphics and animations.Īnd now, thanks to the new Media Replacement function, editors can now swap out specified media within a template, such as logos and video clips. Native solution is very unreliable, especially when you compare it to Warp Stabilizer in Premiere. This is achieved by surfacing the most-used composition tools based on context. There are 3 stabilization modes in DaVinci Resolve that are different algorithms used to stabilize your footage. I'm stoked on how DaVinci is being improved month after month I was so sad when we had to say Bye to Final Cut, and Premiere was getting worse and worse:) The only thing I miss in DaVinci is video stabilization. The new Composition toolbar in After Effects allows users to work seamlessly across both 2D and 3. Then bring it back into Premiere with an XML after grading and behold - the effects will be there again. It simply wont be able to read any of those effects. Be kind and respectful, give credit to the original source of content, and search for duplicates before posting. The same video in Davinci Resolve 14.3 took 7 minutes to stabilize it. Improved Composition Toolbar for After Effects 18.0 Because of the Warp Stabilizer and the time remapping and the RSMB, this project 100 cannot be brought into Resolve through XML. I have a two minute AVCHD video (1920x1080). While some of these scenes could possibly elicit thrills, director Jon Cassar feels obliged to soundtrack these specific moments with an overpowering cacophony meant to hammer home the point that this is an ominous moment.as if all involved know that the story itself is incapable of doing this. She traipses around in very little clothing and compromises a stalwart family man's marriage, all the while threatening to keep or even - gasp - harm their baby. Think of it as The Heavy Hand that Rock the Cradle. In this PG-13-rated thriller, a surrogate mom (Jaz Sinclair) for a couple becomes dangerously obsessed with the soon-to-be father (Chestnut). This is a one-dimensional thriller and she's a criminally insane baby mama-nobody's feeling sorry for her, only themselves for wandering into this flick. Trying to sell us the Brooklyn Bridge nugget of a plotpoint that her abusive boyfriend manipulated her into becoming a psycho only complicates an uncomplicated concept, however. Sure, Jack Olsen's script tweaks the formula a bit, offering up the woman paid to carry a couple's baby as the aggressive villain-type and giving her a sympathetic air. Read the whole review at Detrimentally Obsessed with The Perfect Guy from Lakeview Terrace such that it amounts to a No Good Deed, this umpteenth urban take on Fatal Attraction plays out like an archly melodramatic TV Movie-of-the-Week on the big screen. Still, When the Bough Breaks is overall a lazy if not competent thriller that could have just as effectively been directed by a board room as it has been a man for hire like Cassar. This meaning that the pieces are in place-Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall are seasoned veterans of this type of melodrama (unfortunately) and audiences can go through the motions of the film knowing the story beats that will clearly be hit and yet despite all of this being somewhat blatant rip-offs of other movies we've seen over the years both Chestnut and Hall as well as newcomer Jaz Sinclair are each more than capable of pulling anxiety and tension out of the situations they're characters find themselves in. To those points, When the Bough Breaks is a movie that will take more heat for what it stands for and represents rather than the actual content in produces. That the film doesn't bother to have any fun with its otherwise farcical tone is a shame as trying as hard as the film does to come up with credibility when all they have is camp only makes the final product that much worse. Rather, Cassar's film takes itself so seriously and genuinely yearns to be a somber drama that it just turns into a plodding and rather boring affair instead of pure trashy fun. And yet, this familiar story of seduction offers nothing new by way of cheap thrills or even openly ridiculous tension. One might think, given these circumstances, that When the Bough Breaks might be a bit of a relief to the onslaught of tentpoles and big-budget/high concept offerings the summer movie season has just delivered in that it is (technically) an original story that remains just familiar enough to attract the necessary audience to justify its existence-not to mention it's a movie mostly made to cater to adults. Everything feels rather staged and mostly inauthentic save for a single character who seems to be the only one in this universe within which such movies as this take place that understands real struggle while everyone else walks around-money being no object-without a care in the world. Director Jon Cassar has worked on many a television series which makes sense because When the Bough Breaks is very much along the lines of what the Lifetime network routinely produces. It is evident from the word go that When the Bough Breaks is campy trash, but the most critical question campy trash always has to answer is whether or not it's fun campy trash. These findings suggest that the presence of wayfinding cues in EC1 and EC2 may have helped the users to create spatial knowledge of the immersive VRE while navigating through the environment, thus lowering their cognitive workload. Results from the ANOVA test demonstrates that the HR values were significantly higher for the control group with no wayfinding while lower for the two experimental groups with wayfinding cues. Effects of Wayfinding on Physiological Evaluation We used Fitbit Sense to perform a physiological evaluation through HR measurements and a post-test GEQ questionnaire for psychometric evaluation to measure the user-perceived quality of experience inside the VR game. Furthermore, we hypothesized that participants in the control group would exhibit higher heart rates as compared to the two experimental groups due to a lack of wayfinding cues. We hypothesized that participants in the experimental group with dynamic wayfinding (assistive lights and signage) would have a higher perceived experience than those in the control group. Three groups of participants played the same VR game, with and without wayfinding cues guiding them to the safe zone. The present study was designed to compare the perceived experiences of participants in an immersive VR training simulation depicting a stressful flooding scenario by controlling the experimental conditions with static and dynamic wayfinding cues. Recent developments in immersive multimedia technologies have allowed VR SGs to be used in training people for disaster preparedness. However, the role of contextual cues such as wayfinding in virtual reality environments (VRE) and its influences on user-perceived quality of experience is yet to be thoroughly researched. These contextualized VR games can improve behavioral responses, learning outcomes and evacuation preparedness of users. Wayfinding capabilities of the VR users can be enhanced by aiding the spatial knowledge through contextual cues. Studies have been conducted to show that the skills learned during a well-designed VR SGs are long-lasting and depend mainly on the efficiency and wayfinding capabilities of participants. VR-based serious games offer a secure space to conduct training that would be risky and costly in real life. Although VR SGs can be entertaining, their fundamental purpose is to provide training and education to its users. Recent research has shown that VR can administer a narrative-rich, high-fidelity environment that administers a fully immersive and interactive experience for serious games (SGs) such as disaster preparedness and evacuation training for hazardous situations. These findings suggest that wayfinding cues can promote the users perceived quality of experience in the VR. It was interesting to observe that there were no significant effects of wayfinding on competence, flow, and immersion however, heart rate was significantly high in the control group. Similarly higher positive affects were observed for the experimental groups with wayfinding cues. Results showed that VR SG with wayfinding cues induced less tension, challenge, and negative affects in users’ overall perceived experience. Participants in the control condition were exposed to the VR with no wayfinding cues, and the experimental groups were exposed to VR with static and dynamic wayfinding cues. Thirty-nine participants experienced three variants of the VR SG using Oculus Rift- S. An SG was designed to investigate wayfinding cues’ psychological and psychometric effects on user-perceived experiences in an immersive VR environment. However, the impact of these wayfinding cues on users’ psychological and psychometric behaviors needs thorough investigation. Studies have shown that incorporating design elements such as wayfinding cues enhances the spatial knowledge of users in VR. VR SGs allow people to train in emergency scenarios and improve their likelihood of survival in high-risk situations. Extended reality (XR) technologies such as virtual reality (VR) provide a promising alternative for training users through serious games (SGs). Every Mage has a container inside their body that determines the limits of their Magic Power. Magic Power is the energy which allows Mages to employ Magic, and it is composed of Ethernano. Within these two there are many subcategories. There are two main types of Magic: Caster Type Magic and Holder Type Magic. He also added that for this process to become true and thus for Mages to use Magic, a strong mentality and a lot of concentration are needed.Įmploying any Magic drains Magic Power whether from the Mage or from an external source, with the exception of the former items which were present in the dimension of Edolas, since they used to be powered by Lacrima. The Guild Master of the Fairy Tail Guild, Makarov Dreyar, went on to describe Magic not as a " miracle", but as the power to overcome " reasoning" stemming from " reasoning" itself, claiming that the " spirit" flowing within Mages and the " spirit" flowing within natural connections form an embodiment. All kinds of Magic are used in the dimension of Earth Land, and they possess many avenues for usage, such as offense, defense and supporting. Magic is the main form of combat for Mages, and is bought and sold all throughout the world. Independent Mages are Mages that are not officially recognized by the Magic Council and don't belong to either Legal Guilds or Dark Guilds, instead being part of the so-called Independent Guilds. Frequently, Dark Mages seek out methods of reviving evil creatures and acquiring destructive Magic to carry out their shady plans some of them have even attempted to resurrect the legendary Zeref, who was believed to be dead 400 years ago. Many of the Dark Mages introduced so far are typically dismissive of Legal Guilds, viewing their law-abiding ways as restrictive of their full potential. These Mages are said to take illegal Jobs and are reputed as the main opposition and threat to official guilds and to the Magic Council itself. In collective imagination, Dark Mages usually have evil intentions, think little of others, putting their own desires first, and can be very cruel, if not downright insane. After being deprived of the Council's approval, guilds are ordered to disband, and, if they do not abide to such order and keep functioning, are then categorized as Dark Guilds, becoming known to all intents and purposes as criminal organizations. They are guilds that the Council refuses to recognize. These are the Mages people tend to look up to, with the most famous of them having the chance to be featured in the Sorcerer Magazine.ĭark Mages are Mages who are members of Earth Land's illegal Dark Guilds, guilds which are not acknowledged as such by the Magic Council, having either lost their rights due to crimes, or having never been affiliated with the Council in the first place. Legal Mages are those who are a part of official guilds, take on legal jobs and usually heed the words of the Magic Council. There are three main types of Mages in the world of Fairy Tail: Legal Mages, Dark Mages and Independent Mages. They are often affiliated with a guild, where they can take on Jobs as a source of personal income and adventure according to Lucy Heartfilia, Mages can't be considered full-fledged until they join a guild of their own choosing. They comprise only 10% of the living population of Earth Land, with the remaining 90% being either incapable or unwilling to use Magic. Mages are wielders of Magic, using their Magic Power to cast spells and employ Magical objects. |
